So today was a lazy day for the cats

Einstein spent all day asleep on the just-vacuumed bed mattress. He was laying there while the sun was beaming through the windows. Sleeping on a freshly cleaned mattress and getting toasty are Einstein's favorites things to do.

Strawberry was also lazy. She spent all day asleep on top of my office cabinet where I put an old towel for her to sleep on. She loves it there because it's off the floor and is slightly hidden behind the door. Since it's up high, she probably feels less stress going on in the house. Also it's good to see if Einstein comes creeping in and trying to surprise attack her. Which is something Einstein's been doing a lot lately. I think some other female cats in the neighborhood are in heat and it's getting close to a full moon. A lot of crazy stuff usually happens around a full moon. I've caught Einstein several times trying to mate with Strawberry. She will have none of it. She tries so hard to run and hide from Einstein. I try to protect her the best I can and scruff at Einstein as much as I can. So far today has been good but the night's not over yet.

So it's been chilly for South Florida and Einstein doesn't like the cold. He'd rather be sun bathing in front of the sliding doors in the kitchen. Today I found Einstein all snuggled up under a warm comforter.
